John Abraham Says He Will Never Do A Telugu Film

Bollywood actor John Abraham is gearing up for his next release Attack. The actor, who is on a promotional spree for his upcoming film, was speaking at an event and was visibly annoyed by questions posed to him. The star even lost his cool with journalists and reporters present at the press meet. Helmed by Lakshya Anand, the film will see John turning into India’s first super-soldier. The film, which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh, will hit cinemas on April 1. During a promotional event, John’s behaviour worried his fans.

Firstly, he focussed on the point of how South films and their filmmakers are praised and hyped more than Bollywood. ”I have a lot of respect for Rajamouli, but we also have a lot of respect for what we have done. We are definitely not No.2 to anyone,” he said. John was further asked about the rumour surrounding him having a role in Prabhas starrer Salaar. John clarified by saying, “I will never do a regional film. I am a Hindi film hero. I will never do a film as a second lead just to be there. I am not going to do a Telugu or any regional film like other actors just to be in that business”.

To much surprise, John was also miffed at a press conference when a reporter asked him about The Kashmir Files. The actor warned the media against asking “ghise pite” questions. John said he hadn’t watched the film. He said he is there to talk about Attack and only questions related to the film should be asked. He said, “You are asked on the news desk to bring controversy, then you come here and say, ‘Tell us something about The Kashmir Files.’ Why will I do that?”

Furthermore, a reporter said that his films like Satyameva Jayate 2 have an overdose of action, which again irked the actor. “Your films have an overdose of action. It looks good as long as you are fighting four people. But, it is too much when you are seen fighting 200 people all by yourself,” said the reporter. John called the person asking the question “dumb” and apologised to everyone on his behalf for his silly comments. He said, “I am talking about Attack. If you have a problem with this, then I am sorry. I really offended you.”

When the journalist said that the audience found it difficult to relate to the high octane action scenes, John Abraham simply responded, “I am sorry,” and turned towards his co-stars and said, “Bichara, I think he is very frustrated.” When he was asked about his physical fitness, to which, he said, “More than physically fit, I am trying to be mentally fit to answer some crazy questions, as people are so dumb.” Addressing the same reporter, he went on, “Sorry sir, you left your brain at home. I apologise to everyone on your behalf. No problem, you’ll do better next time.”
