Telugu producer Vishnu Vardhan Induri is showing his interest more on making movies on real incidents. His maiden production was the biopic of Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao. He next made biopic of Jayalalithaa titled Thalaivii and his last project 83 was based on the Indian Cricket team’s success story of winning 1983 world cup.
The producer has now announced another film on real incidents. This time, he acquired rights of sports journalist Boria Majumdar’s book Maverick Commissioner: The IPL-Lalit Modi Saga to bring it on big screen. As the title of the book suggests, the film is based on the controversy of world’s biggest cricket league- IPL.
The film will emphasis as much on the league’s mastermind Lalit Modi as it will on the journey of the tournament. More details are awaited.
