SVP To Be A Festival For Mahesh Babu Fans

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s much-awaited flick Sarkaru Vaari Paata is all set for release on May 12th. Meanwhile, the film’s editor Marthand K Venkatesh shared several interesting aspects, in his interaction with media.

What kind of movie Sarkaru Vaari Paata is?
Parasuram previous movies were mostly love and family entertainers. SVP is an action and mass movie. It’s a blend of Geetha Govindam and Pokiri. The movie has a strong message that will connect to many. While the first half is thoroughly entertaining, the second half has family emotions.

How’s it working with three production houses?
This is my first movie with Mythri Movie Makers, though I previously worked for most of films of Parasuram. I usually interact more with my director.

What did you feel, when you watch the rushes?
When I first watched rushes, I felt, this is going to be much bigger than Pokiri, in terms of hero’s characterization, mass elements and entertainment.

How many movies did you work so far with Mahesh Babu?
Due to fracture to editor Chanti garu, I had to edit few scenes of Mahesh Babu’s first movie Raja Kumarudu. Takkari Donga, Pokiri and SVSC were the other movies, I associated for Mahesh Babu’s movies. I’ve almost edited 500 movies so far.

What changes did you see in reel and digital age?
The work was very tough when there was reel. It used to take lots of time to edit a movie. So, there was huge respect for editors then. Now, the editing has become easy.

What do you say about online editing?
Online editing is a good idea, but the final screenplay gets readied only in editing room and final editing is also done there.

How’s it working with Parasuram?
Parasuram is a good writer. He pens some powerful dialogues. His writing of hero characterization is impeccable, wherein he takes same care for heroine’s characterization as well.

When did you first listen to the story?
Bujji (Parasuram) narrated me the story, during the making of Geetha Govindam for my feedback and I loved it completely. Usually, I give some inputs to directors, after listening to stories or during the editing. But that didn’t happen for Sarkaru Vaari Paata. Now, everyone of the film’s unit is very happy with the outcome.

What do you say about content leakage?
If we take utmost7 care, even while employing workers, leakages won’t happen. We make sure to include watermark for each footage, as a precautionary measure.

How will be lead pair’s romantic track and chemistry in the movie?
Hero-heroine track has come out well. I enjoyed the portions a lot. The track indeed evoked enough laughs. SVP will be like a festival for Mahesh Babu fans.

What are your next projects?
I’m also doing Chiranjeevi’s Bholaa Shankar, Godfather, and Samantha’s Yashoda.
