Cyclone Arnab Devastation, But AP Govt Is Prepared!

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, known for handling crises, has developed considerable expertise in dealing with natural disasters through decades of experience and knowledge.

This was a brilliant display as the devastating cyclone Arnab made its landfall in the Vizag region of Andhra Pradesh today. This happened to be one of the most intimidating and naturally powerful cyclones to have hit Andhra Pradesh in recent years.

Subsequently, there is significant damage to public property and even agricultural produce as hundreds or thousands of coconut trees have fallen into ground due to the extreme winds.

There is a lot of damage that has been dealt to the agricultural points where fish and prawn are cultivated. The extreme cyclone has created significant damage to agricultural sector in the coastal region of Andhra Pradesh.

But on the bright side, there is no reporting of human loss till now. This is largely due to the awareness activities committed by the government and also the kind of preventive measures that were taken for the last few days to educate the public.

Damage of public property can anyway not be stopped when the nature is showing its full might. But preventing human loss is very much within the reach, and that is exactly what the government of Andhra Pradesh has achieved.
