The recent big releases RRR and KGF 2 went on to collect huge at the box office, also in the North and Bollywood circuits. While the South filmdom is super happy with the response and collections the movies are getting, a few sections of Bollywood appear to be upset and unhappy with the same.
Recently John Abraham and Ajay Devgn triggered the unwanted discussions which led finally to the successful South films. Now another actor from B-town, Nawazuddin Siddiqui took an indirect dig at the two monster films from the South.
The super talented Nawazuddin Siddiqui is part of Tiger Shroff’s HeroPanti 2 and during the promotions, he was asked if Bollywood is insecure after the domination of films like RRR and KGF CHapter 2, he called it a trend and said people praise a film more than it deserves when it is a success. He said, ‘When a film does well everyone joins in and praises it more than it probably deserves. Similarly, if a film isn’t a hit, people criticize it more than it deserves.’
Nawazuddin also opined that one big hit from Bollywood will transform the debate once again and said it is like fashion. It looks like the criticism received by Heropanti 2 for its disastrous performance at BO is also one of the reasons for Siddhiqui’s response.
Besides a few Hindi film actors venting their anguish on South films scoring thumping successes, there are actors like Anupam Kher and Anil Kapoor who watched RRR yesterday and showered praises on the film. They called it ‘Electrifying’.
