Sankranthi is one of the biggest festive seasons in Telugu cinema. Every year, we see big-budget films clashing at the box office during this period. However, there were no big releases during Sankranthi this year. But we are going to witness a big clash next year.
According to the sources, Prabhas and Pawan Kalyan will take on each other during Pongal 2023. Prabhas will be coming up with his film Adipurush while Pawan Kalyan will be competing with his movie Hari Hara Veera Mallu.
Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush is a mythological drama based on Ramayana. The makers have officially announced that it will have a pan-India release on January 12, 2023.
On the flip side, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is currently in the shooting stage. It is expected that the shooting works will be wrapped up in a few months. Apparently, the makers are aiming for the Sankranthi release slot next year.
Meanwhile, Thalapathy Vijay’s next, which is being directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju, may also hit the screens during the same time. But it may not create a big impact in the Telugu states if Pawan and Prabhas’s films get released.
Though nothing is officially confirmed yet, we may mostly witness a clash between Prabhas and Pawan Kalyan during Sankranthi next year.
