After the disastrous failure of Acharya, Megastar Chiranjeevi wants to make a successful comeback without wasting much time. His next release would be Godfather, which is being directed by Mohana Raja.
Godfather is an official remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Lucifer. Nayanthara, Salman Khan and Satya Dev are playing the other key roles in it.
According to the reports, the makers are planning to release this film during the Independence Day weekend this year. However, there is no official announcement about the release as of now.
Meanwhile, Chiyaan Vikram-starrer Cobra is hitting the theatres on August 11. The makers have officially announced the release date the other day. So, it looks like Vikram will be locking horns with the Megastar.
Not only these films but Samantha’s Yashoda and Akhil Akkineni’s Agent are also hitting the theatres during the same weekend. On the other side, Bollywood biggie Laal Singh Chaddha, starring Aamir Khan, is also slated for release on August 11.
On the whole, it looks like a series of big films are going to clash at the box office during this Independence Day weekend.
