Actor Adivi Sesh is gearing up for the release of his new outing Major. He has been promoting this film for the last couple of weeks. It is slated for a worldwide release on June 3, in Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam. Directed by Sashi Kiran Thikka, Major features Saiee Manjrekar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, and Revathi in the other pivotal roles.
It is a biographical drama of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was martyred during the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks. Meanwhile, the makers of Major have come up with a unique promotional strategy.
They are holding pre-release premieres across various cities until the release day. Every day, a special premiere will be held in a city. Already, the campaign started when the makers held screenings in Pune, and Jaipur cities.
It continues in Delhi (May 27), Lucknow (May 28), Bangalore (May 30), Kochi (May 31), Mumbai (June 1), and Hyderabad (June 2).
The makers aren’t hosting any special screening in Andhra Pradesh. Even in Telangana, the show is being hosted only in Hyderabad (AMB Cinemas).
But, the strategy is already proving to be successful with the film gaining a lot of attention from the media as well as cine-goers. The team wants to score a hit at the Pan-India level but they can’t do what the makers of RRR or KGF did. So, this is the best way to attract the crowds and it is working out!
Sashi Kiran Tikka is the film’s director. Mahesh Babu produced the film along with Anurag, Sharath, and Sony Entertainments.
