Kamal Plans To Revive Sabash Naidu

Kamal Haasan is one of the most gifted actors in our country. In a career spanning over six decades, Kamal has done various films of multiple genres. One of his favorite genres is comedy. Many of Kamal’s hit films were in the comedy genre.

He is one of the few actors who get the comic timing right in any kind of scene. A star of such caliber and such track record has been staying away from comedy films for the last decade.

Probably, the last comedy film done by Kamal was Manmadha Banam, which was a failure at the box office. After that, he started a movie titled Sabash Naidu but it was shelved in the production stage.

Speaking in a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Kamal said that he has not done many comedy films in the national arena but the number of comedy films in Tamil is more than anyone else.

“We have to do subjects which would be intriguing. I want to do a comedy film even now, but as they say, comedy is a serious business. So, you have to be careful of how you do it,” he went on to say.

When asked about the possibilities of making Sabash Naidu, Kamal said that he is planning to revisit it soon and its Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) are still with him.
