Of course, a film’s fate can be decided only after it releases in theatres but not before. However, few top distributors always extract a piece of information from various departments that cater to the post-production to find about the worthiness of the films.
And a top distributor is said to have revealed recently to his friends that many of the upcoming Tollywood films are likely to end up as flops only.
Very soon Tollywood is going to see a hawt film directed by a senior producer and it has turned out quite substandard they say. At the same time a young who has got sudden attention is said to be coming up with another routine film only.
A struggling hero’s action comedy and an influential family hero’s multi layered drama are said to have disappointed the producers big time as the final copy of them is quite boring.
Similarly, two other struggling heroes are coming up with a film each, as one happens to be a fantasy thriller and other one is a remake love story. Final cuts of both the movies are said to be quite boring.
Except one film that is being made by a director whose debut film got all the attention just before the first lockdown, is said to have come out pretty well though it may not collect heavily due to poor casting and overboard histrionics. But if that many flops hit Tollywood, will it survive somehow is the question.
