Mani Ratnam’s period drama Ponniyin Selvan’s teaser was released yesterday. It has many stars and for the unversed, the movie is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novel ‘Ponniyin Selvan.’

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be appearing as Nandini, who is behind all the conspiracies and plots in the Antahpuram.
Jayam Ravi will be seen as Raja Raja Chola. He will be playing Ponniyin Selvan and a Raja Raja Chola after that. He is the brother of Aditya Karikalan.
Karthi will appear as Vallavaraivan Vandhyadevan. He is the heir of the Vaanar dynasty. Trisha will be pairing him.
Prakash Raj is seen as Sundara Chola. His son Aditya Karikalan is played by Chiyaan Vikram.
