Shaktimaan is the first and most popular superhero series in India. The 90s kids will never forget this series which used to be aired on Doordarshan. Mukesh Khanna played the role of Shaktimaan and his alter-ego Pandit Gangadhar Vidadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastri in the show.
The show was re-telecasted during the pandemic and it received a thumping response from the audiences even in the current times. Last year, Mukesh Khanna announced that Shaktimaan will now be made as a film franchise.
Since the announcement, the 90s kids aren’t able to hold their excitement for this flick. According to the latest B-Town reports, Ranveer Singh has been approached to play the lead role in this film series. Apparently, the actor has also shown interest in doing the project.
The talks are going on and an official announcement is expected to be made once he signs the dotted lines. It is also heard that Adipurush fame Om Raut has been approached to direct the project.
Currently, Ranveer Singh is busy with the shoot of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which is being directed by Karan Johar. Alia Bhatt plays the female lead in it.
