Actor Nikhil Siddhartha is prepping up for the release of his upcoming film Karthikeya 2. This is the sequel to the 2014 super hit of the same name. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, Karthikeya 2 features Anupama Parameswaran as the female lead.
The film was originally slated for release on July 22. But the makers have postponed it now. The official release date hasn’t been announced yet. However, Nikhil hinted that it may hit the screens in the first week of August.
Recently, a user on Twitter shared the advance bookings status of Karthikeya 2 in the UK. “#KarthiKeya2 UK. Leicester almost sold out in 25Mins. Tickets opened in @ODEONCinemas. Grab them now,” he tweeted.
Responding to the tweet, Nikhil wrote, “But sorry.. the movie is not releasing on July 22nd.. but in August 1st week. Apologies to the Amazing ppl who booked tickets for the premiere show.. will get it refunded.”
An official release date is expected to be announced soon. Karthikeya 2 will have a pan-India release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
