Chandramukhi is one of the best and the most entertaining horror dramas ever made in South India. The film was released in Telugu and became a super hit at the box office. Starring Superstar Rajinikanth, Jyothika, Nayanthara, Prabhu, and others in the lead roles, the film was directed by P Vasu. Now, the director is bringing the sequel to the film, with the title Chandramukhi 2.
Rajinikanth is not playing the lead role in the film, but his biggest fan Raghava Lawrence is acting in the lead role. The film’s regular shoot began today in Mysore, and on this occasion, Lawrence sought the blessings from the Superstar.
Sharing two pictures with Rajinikanth on Twitter, Lawrence wrote, “Hi friends and fans, Today Chandramukhi 2 shooting begins in Mysore with my Thalaivar and guru’s @rajinikanth blessings! I need all your wishes!”
Vadivelu will be a part of the project. RD Rajasekhar will handle the camera and Thotta Tharani the production design. MM Keeravani will score the music for the film. Lyca Productions will bankroll the film.
Chandramukhi was released in 2005, and it was the Tamil remake of the popular 1993 Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu.
