While the trailer itself clarified a month ago that the film more on mass elements and masala scenes than a stunning storyline, “The Warrior” proved in theatres it is only a routine mass film served with high energetic Ram Pothineni as the main ingredient. So how far such films actually work in theatres these days?
With Linguswamy’s The Warrior getting below average reports from all quarters, Film Industry folks are now discussing why would NTR avoid this project. They say that the Tamil director first approached Tarak with this project, but with him already doing “Temper” which is on similar lines with lots of swag and twists, the hero is said to have rejected the story.
And then, Linguswamy approached Allu Arjun for a film, regarding which rumors have also come out that Tamil producer Kalaipuli S Thanu is getting ready to make a bilingual film with the mega hero. Some say that Thanu and Linguswamy project is the one Bunny has to take up, and the story of that project is nothing but ‘The Warrior’.
Though Linguswamy and Ram maintained that this is a fresh story from the director written for the sake of only this hero, critics are quick to say that ‘The Warrior’ actor should have given a second look at the story, and should have thought about why NTR and Bunny rejected the film.
While Ram is surely having an interesting lineup with Boyapati Sreenu’s movie being his next, two back-to-back ordinary films like Red and The Warrior after Ismart Shankar is definitely not a good sign.
