August 5th became a hot topic in film circles. At a time when audiences are not turning out to cinemas, the makers of three films – Karthikeya 2, Bimbisara and Sita Ramam – have planned to clash at the theatres.
Finally, after a lot of deliberation Karthikeya 2 has opted out of the race and avoided clash with other two films. The fight was especially seen between Karthikeya 2 and Bimbisara where both films have extensive visual effects and have mythology, socio-fantasy elements respectively.
Karthikeya 2 makers announced that their film is hitting the screens on August 12. It is learnt that distributors have promised better theatres to the film in August second week and assured good visibility for the film. With this, Karthikeya 2 makers got a better date. Meanwhile, the August first week clash will now be between war love story Sita Ramam and Bimbisara.
As Naga Chaitanya and Vikram Kumar’s Thank You is hitting theatres on July 22nd, the last week of July will have Ravi Teja’s Ramarao On Duty. It needs to be seen how July will end at the BO. So far, July has been a disappointing and dull month at the ticket windows.
