Dhootha, Please Erase The Memories Of Thank You

Within three days of its release, Thank You ended up as the biggest disaster in Naga Chaitanya’s career. It is also heard that the film will be one of the biggest flops in Telugu cinema this year. Akkineni fans will have to await a bit longer to witness Chay’s comeback on the big screen.

But in the meantime, the actor will entertain his fans with his maiden OTT project, Dhootha. Touted to be a horror thriller, this web series is being directed by Vikram K Kumar. Amazon Prime Video is backing the project. We hear that most of Dhootha’s shooting part is finished and only a few portions are left to be shot.

Apparently, the post-production works are also happening simultaneously under the supervision of Vikram. Sources say that Dhootha is being made on a budget of Rs 45 crores, which is the highest for a Telugu web series ever. Chaitanya will be playing the role of a man who speaks with spirits, in this series.

However, we have to see how far Chay will be benefitted from this series. In the league of two-tier Telugu heroes, Chaitanya is the first one to enter the OTT arena. On top of that, he is making an entry with a high-budget project. If he manages to succeed, many other heroes of his league are expected to make their OTT entry.

Dhootha needs to become a sensational hit on Amazon Prime Video. That would also erase the memories of Thank You for Chay and his fans. Hence, it turns out to be a crucial project for the actor. Dhootha is expected to premiere later this year.
