Following the collosal failure of Khiladi, Ravi Teja fans had pinned high hopes on his recently released mass action entertainer, Rama Rao on Duty. The hype and expectations went several notches higher after the film’s director Sarath Mandava had made a few startling comments on media and critics during promotions.
Amidst a lot of promise, Ramarao On Duty released on Friday and ended up as a one of the biggest flops in Ravi Teja’s career. While the debut director chose an interesting backdrop, he utterly disappointed all the Mass Maharaj fans with a lackluster narrative and routine storytelling.
Ever since the film’s first day first show, heartbroken Ravi Teja fans have been targeting Sarath Mandava on social media and blasting him by hurling harsh abuses. The heat is so intense that the young director, who had displayed an unshakeable confidence in all promotional interviews before the film’s release, has now locked his Twitter account to escape the nonstop trolls.
Failures are quite common in the movie world. But Sarath Mandava has fallen prey to angry fans of Ravi Teja after catapulting their hopes on Ramarao On Duty. Time will only reveal how well the young director will cope with this extreme hate and bounce back strongly with his next project.
