Why Sita Ramam is important for Dulquer?

Telugu audiences don’t show any discrimination towards the actors from other film industries. We always accept other language heroes with open arms if they come with good content. Actors like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and Suriya enjoy equal stardom in Telugu and Tamil film industries.

Now, another young hero is aiming to get that kind of stardom in Telugu land. He is the Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan. After gaining popularity with the dubbed flick Ok Bangaram, Dulquer made his straight Telugu debut with Mahanati in 2018. It became a blockbuster.

Later, he scored another hit with his another dubbed film Kanulu Kanulanu Dochayanate. Now, he is coming up with his second straight Telugu film Sita Ramam. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, this film is slated for release on August 5. Mrunal Thakur and Rashmika Mandanna play pivotal roles in this movie. Dulquer is the solo hero of the film, unlike Mahanati which is a female oriented project.

Even though there are many young actors in Tollywood, Hanu chose to do this film with Dulquer. In fact, Dulquer’s inclusion added a new flavour to the film and helped it in getting a good buzz. The trailer also created good anticipation around the movie.

The success of Sita Ramam is crucial for Dulquer. If it becomes a hit, his market will expand in the Telugu states and he will get more offers from Tollywood.

Then, his old Malayalam flicks will also get dubbed in Telugu. Eventually, his satellite market will also increase. It also makes him the first Malayalam star to gain huge popularity in Telugu.

So, we have to see if Sita Ramam becomes such a blockbuster or not.
