Ever since the film “Ramarao On Duty” failed big time at the box office, many are worried about the situation of producer Sudhakar Cherukuri who is likely to sustain huge losses from the project. Amidst this, rumors have started popping up that hero Raviteja is getting ready to return the whole of his ₹17+ crores remuneration such that the producer will be saved. How much of this is true?
If we look at the ifs and buts of Raviteja returning the remuneration, we must say that the hero might never return money actually but will be doing another project for the producer without taking a hefty paycheck.
If the talk in the film industry is anything to go by, Raviteja is always particular about the hefty remuneration only, and he might not return the money if a film fails. But coming to Ramarao On Duty he might leave the ‘share’ he was supposed to get as he is said to have taken nearly 20% of remuneration as ‘theatrical rights’ of a particular area.
Also, with the film sold for an average price in many areas, and released on a share basis in some areas, surely distributors might not make huge noise about the losses incurred.
However, the already sold satellite and digital rights might be a saving grace and that would minimize the loss to an extent. We have to see what Raviteja will finally do anyway to help his producer.
