Write Whatever You Want, I’m Working For Cinema -Dil Raju

Published by

“A lot is being written about me in many media including some YouTube channels. You can write whatever you want, but I’m working only for the sake of cinema. A lot of responsibilities are kept on my shoulders and I’ve to fulfill them to make this industry a better place” says ace producer Dil Raju, reacting to various stories that are being written about him these days.

Today, Dil Raju along with other producers like C Kalyan and Daamu has met the media to explain what is actually happening with the bandh. “We’ve called off shootings such that we get time to personally meet each other and try to bring solutions to issues that are haunting us”, says Dil Raju, as he explained that things related to release gap on OTT platforms, VPF charges, theatrical revenue system and issues related to production wastage are being discussed now by four committees with all the parties involved, set up by film biggies.

At the same time, Raju clarified that ‘Active Producers Guild’ is not an independent body but works only under main bodies like “Telugu Film Chamber”, “Telugu Producers Council” and “Telangana Chamber Of Commerce”. “No matter we discuss things in any association we have, things will be finalized only after Telugu Film Chamber approves it”, said Dil Raju, clarifying that Active Producers Guild is just a union to facilitate some producers from solving their minor issues.

“Please write about film in your columns, but not about some persons. People may come and go, but industry survives” says Dil Raju, on a parting note.
