They Started their journey on small screen, and failed miserably and incurred losses with their TV shows.
Swpana Dutt and Priyanka Dutt tasted their first success with the feature film Yevade Subrahmanyam which won critical accolades and became commercial hit.
They didn’t look back after that with Mahanati, Jathi Ratnalu and then recently released Sita Ramam turning out to be superhits.
“Many opined during the making of Mahanati that the story may not connect to the audience of this generation. From kids to elders, everyone loved the movie. Same is the case with Sita Ramam as well.
The common opinion was that audience are not coming to theatres and they are watching only films like KGF. However, contrastingly, Sita Ramam got superhit talk.”
Swapna Dutt says there is no particular format for success. “According to me, the audience won’t really ask for huge fights, star cast, item songs etc. If the story is good, they will definitely encourage.”
Interestingly, the producer is making different genre movies and has lined up some interesting projects which are under different stages of production.
