Sukumar Taking A Whopping ₹50 Cr Now?

So far, legendary director SS Rajamouli is said to be the highest charging filmmaker in India with his remuneration touching almost ₹100 crores for “RRR”, which is on par with the likes of what Prabhas is charging per film. Apart from that, Rajamouli is also taking a stake in the film’s business as well.

Latest buzz has that, after Rajamouli, it is Sukumar who is so top in the remuneration game considering the fact that his last release “Pushpa 1” is a terrific blockbuster at the box office with more than ₹400 crores collection. For “Pushpa 2”, the director is said to have taken a whopping ₹50 crores remuneration, while he took a stake in the film’s sales too through his Sukumar Writings, which is now the co-producer of the movie.

After Rajmouli, both Trivikram and Sukumar are charging close to ₹50 crores and that’s the highest ever for star directors in India. With Telugu films doing amazing business across the nation, it looks like there is no looking back for Telugu star directors. But then, what it takes to come to this stage is consistently delivering superhits though there are occasional failures, and giving the value for the money being invested by producers.
