Popular film director Linguswamy is sentenced to six months in jail in a cheque bounce case. He recently directed Ram’s The Warriorr movie in Telugu. Linguswamy owns a production house ‘Thirupathi Brothers’ that has produced many successful films earlier.
In the last few years, the production house ran into various financial issues and Linguswamy had to appear in court for the same. PVP Cinema is one of them that filed cases against Linguswamy and the case’s final hearing happened at the Saidapet Court in Chennai. The judge ordered a 6 -month jail term for Linguswamy and his brother Subhash Chandrabose.
Linguswamy reportedly borrowed money from PVP a few years back for the movie, ‘Yenni Ezhu Naalukulla’ which has Karthi and Samantha as leads. The movie was shelved for financial reasons and PVP Cinema moved the court against Linguswamy for not repaying the amount also the cheque issued by Linguswamy bounced in the bank.
The latest reports say that Linguswamy and his brother will be appealing the order in the High court.
