Sukumar Tried To Become Puri’s Assistant!

Like Rajamouli who helped his good friend Prabhas by interviewing him during the release of “Radhe Shyam” early this year, now it is the turn of creative director Sukumar who has done the same for “Liger” by interviewing Puri Jagan. The fact is that Vijay Deavarakonda’s next is with Sukumar only after the director wraps his “Pushpa 2”.

Unlike saying that he is actually doing an interview for his next hero, Sukumar has shocked the audience by saying that he actually wanted to join Puri Jagan as his assistant director after the dashing director scored a blockbuster with “Badri” movie.

While Sukumar remembered every single detail of the first meeting he had with Puri Jagannath, the latter hasn’t remembered anything about it. In the opening part of the interview itself, Sukumar made all these stunning revelations.

The Rangasthalam director stated that he had watched Puri’s Idiot when he was an assistant director. Sukumar added that it was a great experience to watch Idiot as an AD. He recalled the love scenes of Idiot and freshness that carried in them.

However, after the release of Pokiri, it looks like Sukumar and Puri Jagan have become good friends, as the creative director always advised the dashing maker to take more time to write scripts such that he will come up with interesting stories and powerful plots. Not that Puri took a year to write Liger’s script, Sukku felt that the tomorrow’s release (Aug 25) will be a blockbuster of epic proportion.
