‘It’s Time, Jr NTR Should Take Over TDP’

Lakshmi Parvathi, wife of legendary actor and former chief minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh NT Ramarao, has made a few striking comments on Jr NTR. Addressing the media in Tirupati, the AP Telugu Academy President has said that Jr NTR should foray into active politics.

“It’s my long cherished dream to see Jr NTR entering politics. He should ‘take TDP into his hands and save the party,” Lakshmi Parvathi said. “Chandrababu Naidu had plotted a conspiracy and backstabbed NT Ramarao to snatch away TDP. But only Jr NTR can lead the TDP to its past glory now,” she added further.

Meanwhile, Jr NTR’s high-profile meeting with Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah a few days ago has been a hot topic in the twin Telugu states for the past few days. Speculations about NTR making a comeback in politics by campaigning for the BJP in the upcoming general elections in Telangana have been going viral ever since.

The YSRCP has alleged that the Shah-NTR meeting was purely political. On the other hand, BJP’s AP and Telangana units maintained that the meeting was not at all political and that Shah had invited Tarak to appreciate his performance in Rajamouli’s RRR. TDP’s top brass, however, has been maintaining a strategic silence on the meeting.
