Social media reports a lot of fake news these days, especially against celebrities. Health issues related to actors make it to YouTube channels and with sensational thumbnails, these channels attract viewers. Senior actor Suman Talwar is the latest victim of false reporting.
A few YouTube channels put up videos that Suman has passed away and even his funeral was held. Cross checking these videos, Suman appeared before the media and clarified that he is doing absolutely fine and there is no truth in reports of his health.
Suman fumed that some channels published that he was dead and he is set to drag them to the courts. “I’m planning to sue those YouTube channels that reported I’m dead and this is unacceptable,” said Suman.
Like media, social media too needs accountability and authentic sources for information especially when it is related to celebrities.
