Rahul, Shivani’s Vidya Vasula Aham!

Actor Rahul Vijay, who sparkled in the web series Kudi Yedamaithe, is currently awaiting the release of two of his movies – the anthology Panchatantram and the rom-com Maate Mantramu. He’s quickly wrapping the shoot of another film with Shivani Rajashekar, also a relationship comedy. Commemorating Vinayaka Chavithi, the first look of the film and its title were launched today. The film, directed by Manikanth Gelli, is officially titled Vidya Vasula Aham.

Manikanth Gelli had earlier helmed Sri Simha Koduri’s Thellavarithe Guruvaram (streaming on aha). The film significantly unfolds inside a house in the vicinity of Hyderabad. The story revolves around a young married couple and the clash of their egos. Kalyani Malik scores the music for the light-hearted entertainer. The shoot of Vidya Vasula Aham is progressing at a brisk pace and is set to hit theatres soon, the makers confirmed in a statement.

In the film’s poster launched today, both the protagonists Vidya and Vasu are wearing a crown while the latter has a ‘sudarshana chakram’ encircling his finger. The title animation video has the team taking us through the origins of man and woman in this world, explaining the idea and purpose behind an institution called marriage and its connection with the trinity of Gods – Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. They share that ego is the key factor that decides the future of a marriage.

In the video, the makers cite examples of Ravanasura and Duryodhana as the main reason behind the wars in Mahabharatha and Ramayana. Later, through this backstory, we’re intrduced to the film’s lead characters Vidya and Vasu. The team has put in a lot of effort behind this glimpse and it certainly catches your eyeballs. Vidya Vasula Aham is bankrolled by Lakshmi Navya Makkapati and Ranjith Kumar Kodali under Eternity Entertainment. Satya Giduturi is the editor and Venkatesh Rowthu is the dialogue writer.
