Suresh Babu’s Class To Director For Skipping Promotions?

Director Sudheer Varma’s absence at the recently held pre-release event of his soon-to-release action comedy film, Saakini Daakini, raised several eyebrows. After skipping the event, Sudheer didn’t even take part in any of the promotional interviews and has also not posted anything about his movie on his social media. Naturally, Sudheer’s silence on his movie has led to rumours that all is not well between him and Saakini Daakini’s makers.

To put an end to these rumours, one of the film’s producers, Sunitha Tati, has clarified that Sudheer had to miss the film’s pre-release event as he was busy shooting Ravanasura with Ravi Teja. Sunitha further clarified that Sudheer will be wrapping up Ravanasura by 14th of September and start promoting Saakini Daakini from the 15th, just a day before the film’s release.

Well, Sunitha’s clarification doesn’t sound really convincing. Usually, no director is so busy that he will miss his own film’s promotional event, that too while being in the same city. Sudheer could have just appeared at the event for a few minutes and spoke about the movie. But he seems to have been upset with the film or its makers for some reason and chose to skip the event.

Another buzz in the Film Nagar circles  is that Suresh Babu, another producer of Saakini Daakini, has taken a ‘special class’ to Sudheer Varma and asked him to attend the promotional interviews and Sudheer has agreed for the same. It remains to be seen whether the director’s ‘last minute entry’ will help the film’s box office prospects or not.
