Only Content Matters, Not The Boycott Trends: Nagarjuna

Nagarjuna seems to be enjoying the appreciation his role in Brahmastra got from all over. Nag appeared as ‘Nandiastra’, a small yet significant role in Brahmastra, and his role is being received very well. Nag attended a press meeting today and he spoke about Brahmastra and also the boycott trend it faced earlier. Brahmastra has been collecting well at ticket counters, despite the boycott trends and negative talk it received.

The boycott trend appeared to have hit many recent films like Laal Singh Chaddha, Raksha Bandhan, and also Liger. Nagarjuna spoke about it saying films like Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bhool Bhuliaya 2 and RRR did exceptionally well because of good content. Nagarjuna said the boycott trend doesn’t matter if the film has good content.

No negative trend on social media can stop a good film from becoming successful, according to Nagarjuna. He said a lot of Telugu and Hindi films in recent times have proven that. Nag did not hesitate to mention Laal Singh Chaddha’s failure and name it among the films that failed due to poor content. Nagarjuna’s son Naga Chaitanya made his B-town debut with Laal Singh Chaddha.

Nagarjuna also spoke about the impact of movie reviews these days and he said he also would check the IMDB rating of a film or a web series before watching it. The Ghost actor said he is not in a position to say anything about whether he will be seen in Part 2 or not. However, he said that he thinks good characters will continue in the sequel, Dev.
