Nikhil might have anticipated his Karthikeya 2 to become successful but definitely not this huge. His Arjun Suravaram also had some hiccups during the release and after a two-year forced break, Nikhil scored a blockbuster with Karthikeya 2. The movie made quite an impression among the North audience as well. With the much-needed success in hand, Nikhil seems to have become much more cautious about his next move.
Nikhil’s next two movies are 18 Pages and Spy. 18 Pages is being directed by Kumar 21F fame Surya Pratap in Geetha Arts banner while the story is from Sukumar Writings of course. In the latest update we hear, Sukumar is heard to have asked for some changes in the part that was already shot. He included some strong inputs for the changes and some of the movies is going for a re-shoot.
The final cut of 18 Pages was ready long back, but Sukumar recently watched it again and expressed displeasure with the output. Nikhil also is heard to be cooperating with Sukumar for a better output and is ready for the reshoot.
Nikhil needs to step ahead using the success of Karthikeya 2 and 18 Pages is crucial for him now. Nikhil had been promoting and talking mostly about Karthikeya 2 but made sure he kept the details about 18 Pages under wraps.
It looks like some pages of Nikhil’s 18 Pages are being rewritten and reshot. It has to be seen if the makers will announce a teaser release date soon. Anupama Parameswaran is the female lead again.
