LIGER to release on Hotstar on 22nd Sep

Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday played the lead roles in the film titled Liger. Directed by Puri Jagannath, the film failed to impress the audiences at the theatres. Unfortunately, the film opened to a disastrous response on the release day itself. Now, we learn from the sources that the film is heading for a OTT release.

If the reports are believed to be true, Liger is gearing up for a grand release on Disney+ Hotstar on the 22nd of September. The film will be available in all four South languages and there is no clarity on the Hindi version for now.

Liger was released in theatres on August 25th, and in just less than a month of its theatrical release, the film is going to be available on OTT. The talk is that the producers and distributors lost big bucks on the film and it will take a while for them to recover from the losses.

Mike Tyson played a key role in the film but it was criticized by the boxer’s fans. Ramya Krishnan was seen as Vijay’s mother. Ali, Chunkey Pandey and others played pivotal roles.
