Despite the fact that Ram Pothineni has cemented his position with “Ismart Shankar”, back-to-back flops like Red and The Warrior have hit him hard. If the reports coming from Film Nagar are to be believed, his new film with ‘Akhanda’ maker Boyapati Sreenu is struggling to take off due to finance issues. Here goes an interesting snippet.
Apparently, producer Srinivasa Chitturi is the one who was supposed to produce RaPo and Boyapati Sreenu’s movie. But he has lost huge money recently when Ram’s The Warrior lost at the box office as he happens to be the producer of that film too. Later, with the producer investing his funds on Naga Chaitanya and Venkat Prabhu’s movie, it is being heard that Ram’s movie is facing the heat. The makers have announced couple of schedules but cancelled them in the last minute due to funds crunch.
While these are the reasons that are being said to the outside, some insiders added that actually Ram and Boyapati have almost doubled the budget with their demands, and the producer wants them to tone down the budget first before they could take off. Well, making films under the stipulated budget is the need of the hour.
