Chiranjeevi’s Godfather witnessed a huge drop in its collections on Monday. The Telugu remake of Lucifer which released on October 5th failed to get walkins on Monday. While the film performed decently during the festive days, it couldn’t keep the momentum on the first Monday.
Godfather’s world-wide theatricals is estimated to be around Rs 92 Crore. However, the film raked in Rs 47 Crore world-wide share in 5 days. We have to wait and see where the film will head in the coming days. As per trade, it is going to be a Herculean task for the film.
The other releases this Dasara – The Ghost and Swathimuthyam – have bitten the dust without a trace. On the whole, it’s a dull Dasara this time around. Tollywood trade is now pinning high hopes on the coming Diwali festival and hoping that there would be some firecrackers. Let’s see.
