‘Pawan Would Have Done It, But Salman Is Better Option’

Puri Jagannadh interviewed megastar Chiranjeevi live on Instagram, as part of the promotions of GodFather. It is known that Puri played a small yet significant role in the movie directed by Mohan Raja.

Chiranjeevi recalled how he worked restlessly for GodFather and Bobby’s film. ‘We went to Mumbai for the shoot of GodFather’s climax portion with Salman Khan. I then came back to shoot Bobby’s movie. My eyes turned red, as I was sleepless for nearly 48 hours. However, I enjoy working restlessly, rather than sitting idle at home.’

Chiranjeevi revealed that Lal Bahadur Shastri and Atal Bihari Vajpayee are his favourite politicians.

He stated that he first met Salman, during the ad shoot for Thums Up brand. Chiru said, ‘We went to Bangkok and spent a good time together. Salman is a warm person. He is like my brother. He likes Charan a lot. He used to tell Charan that had I married at the right age, I would have had a son of your age.’

Puri expressed that hardcore fans wanted Pawan Kalyan in place of Salman Khan’s character. ‘Pawan Kalyan would be a right choice and he would have done it If asked. Kalyan doing it would have brought eqaul craze to that character. But we wanted an actor who has a good craze in the south and north. Even Kalyan would have said that Salman Khan doing the role is apt’, said Chiru.
