An NRI from Krishna district, Nekkalapu Harish Chowdary died in a tragic waterfall accident in New York, USA.
Harish along with four other friends visited the Ithaca waterfalls o fLake Street in New York on Tuesday. According to police, Harish was climbing up the base of the falls when he lost his balance and fell into the water.
Several people pulled the unconscious man from the water and police administered CPR. He was taken to the hospital but passed away after arriving at Cayuga Medical Center. Police reported that he died as a result of injuries he sustained from falling into the water and drowning.
Harish (35) belonged to Krishna district Lankapalli village. He had been staying in Canada for the last eight years and was working for an automobile company. He was married to Sai Sowmya from Vijayawada Poranki.
