‘MAA has members who are not actors. We have taken decisions to be strict regarding the membership. Lead actors who acted in at least two films and if the movies are released, et permanent membership in MAA. Character actors should have at least ten films and that too with their screen presence for at least 5 minutes. Associate members won’t have the right to vote. We have already conveyed to the producers to offer roles to the members only and the producers’ council also considers our word. Actors or Members who post on social media against MAA will be permanently removed from MAA. Any person who has five years of membership can contest in MAA elections,’ said Manchu Vishnu.

Manchu Vishnu further spoke about the MAA building. He said,’ We have two options regarding the construction of MAA building. One is to construct a building near film Nagar and the second option is to construct a new building in the place of current film chamber building at my own expense. Many of the members agreed to the second option.’

‘We have introduced a book on how the majority of actors can get a chance to work. Already more than ten actors got chances in films due to this. We are also working on the mobile app and it will be available after Sankranthi. This application will be having the information on latest updates about the films. Under the advisory of Padmasri Sunitha Krishnan, we are forming a committee to protect women members of MAA. Only the permanent members of MAA will have health insurance. We have canceled the pension for around 6 people who are not MAA members recently. Members who are above 60 years of age and also financially weak, will get the pension through MAA.’
