Celebrating Prabhas’s birthday on the 23rd of this month, special screenings of Billa are being held all across the globe. Billa team including Producer Narendra, late Krisham Raju garu’s daughter Praseedha, music composer Mani Sharma, lyricist Ramajogaiah Sastry, actors Subba Raju, Ali, and others interacted with media.
The makers confirmed that all proceeds from Billa 4K collections will be donated to UKINDIADFF ( Uppalapati-Kavarthapu India diabetic foot foundation). It is a foundation started by Sri UV Krishnam Raju and Dr. Venu Kavarathapu.
Director Meher Ramesh said “I first narrated a low budget script and then the Billa script to Prabhas. He picked Billa script. That’s how the project started under Gopikrishna banner. Everything about this film was lavish. When I asked for 2 helicopters, I was given 4 of them. It was Prabhas’s idea to bring in Krishnam Raju garu for this film. We wanted Raju garu to be the special guest for the special shows, but sadly he is no longer with us. Billa was the biggest opener in Prabhas’s career till then. Mani Sharma’s background score is a huge plus. Fans should enjoy the release.
Ali said “I feel lucky to have acted in this film. I got the chance to work with Krishnam Raju garu for an elongated period of time. He truly is a great man. I feel his blessings will be with us.”
Mani Sharma said “Following Billa 100 days meet, Tamil hero Vijay called me and asked to give all these songs to his film. Such was the kind of reach Billa songs had back then. I feel happy that this film is releasing again.”
Praseedha said “Billa is close to our hearts, because it’s the first collaboration between Prabhas anna and dad, Krishnam Raju garu. Having it re-released on the 23rd of October on the occasion of Prabhas’s birthday feels great. We will donate the proceeds of this film to India-UK diabetic Foot Foundation. As a part of which, we will be assisting medical aide to those suffering from diabetes.”
Ramajogaiah Sastry said “Prabhas’s image is much different now, when compared to the past. He is a pan-India superstar now. Billa is being re-released worldwide now and we feel elated with the same.”
“We aim to provide treatment to atleast 4-5 patients every year through Krishnam Raju Garu’s will, Praseedha added.
