Can Jhansi Revive Anjali’s Career?

As OTT became one of the major platforms in the entertainment arena, many popular stars are now entering the space through web series and web films.

Actress Anjali made her OTT debut with Netflix’s original film Paava Kadhaigal. It brought a good reception for her. After Paava Kadhaigal, Anjali kept on doing big films in Tamil and Telugu.

Now, she is coming up with her maiden web series, Jhansi. She plays the role of Anjali, who forgets about her past and keeps getting bad dreams about it. Touted to be an action thriller, Jhansi features Anjali in a never-seen-before action avatar.

It looks like she worked hard for the role and performed action stunts with ease. But the trailer doesn’t have any interesting factors. It looks very normal without any interesting hooks.

So, we have to see how it can help Anjali’s career. The trailer is not up to the mark and now, the series has to hook the audiences through its twists and turns.

Meanwhile, a section of audiences felt that when she is doing big films like RC 15, there is no need for Anjali to take up small series like Jhansi. However, we have to see if Anjali shuts critics with this show. Jhansi will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on October 27.
