Kantara breaks KGF’s record

The Kannada film Kantara is having a dream run at the box office. This mystic thriller featured Rishab Shetty in the lead role. He also wrote and directed the project. Not only in Kannada, but Kantara is having a sensational run in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages too.

It was produced by Hombale Films, which also happens to be the production house of the KGF series. According to the latest reports, Kantara has now broken KGF’s record. 

Reportedly, Kantara witnessed more footfalls than KGF. It makes it the most viewed Hombale film in Karnataka. Announcing the same, Hombale Films tweeted, “#Kantara becomes our most viewed film in Karnataka among all the movies produced by #Hombalefilms. We are enamoured by your support.”

It is stated that Kantara witnessed 80 lakh footfalls in Karnataka in 25 days of its run. On the flip side, KGF part:1 and KGF part: 2 witnessed 75 lakh and 72 lakh footfalls respectively in full run. As Kantara is still going strong at the box office, we can expect the footfall numbers to increase in the coming days. 

Meanwhile, Hombale is becoming a top production house in South India by delivering back-to-back hits. Right now, it has films with star heroes like Prabhas and Fahadh Faasil in the lineup.
