House Of The Dragons S01: What A Shocking Ending!

Though many fans of “Game Of Thrones” have initially said that they are not liking the prequel web series “House Of The Dragons”, the show has progressed stunningly and now most of GoT’s fans are eagerly waiting for the Second season. For the kind of shocker HOTD’s Season 01 has given to the viewers, surely it takes a week at the least to recover. Here’s an interesting snippet.

Of course, right from the beginning episodes of HOTD, when King Viserys announced that his elder daughter Princess Rhaenyra is going to become his heir officially, to the way this S01 ended, it’s a goosebumps travel for the audience. In the penultimate episode of the S01, the makers have given the real twist by crowing Viserys and Alicent Hightower’s elder son Aegon II as the King of the Seven Kingdoms, though the King always wanted Rhaenyra to become the first ever Queen of the realm.

And in the last episode, is all about Rhaenyra’s emotions as she has to deal with the death of her father on one side, and the usurper who hasn’t followed her father, King Viserys’ order. While she proclaimed herself as the Queen of the Dragonstone itself, the real shocker came when her younger son got killed by her stepbrother Aemond Targaryen and his dragon Vhagar. From showcasing Rhaenyra’s miscarriage to her final wicked expression which shows her intent to burn the whole of Aegon’s green army now, actress Emma Darcy has just given an Emmy Award winning performance.

On the other hand, the last climax featuring Aemond killing Lucerys Velarion in the dragon fight between giant dragon Vhagar and the little dragon Arrax is a scene that one cannot forget for years now. This shocking ending is now making everyone wait for HOTD’s S02, but it looks like the second season will be screened only in 2024.
