Chiru Picks Up Better Item Girl Now

No matter how stylish or creative films have evolved with time and with the arrival of OTT, some things old are still considered the best way to entertain the audience, and ‘item songs’ in one of them. Both Bollywood and Tollywood are carving out some saucy numbers these days where star heroines are roped in as item girls, and flaunt the best of their curves for a peppy number. But then, the pioneer of featuring in such songs, Megastar Chiranjeevi hasn’t really picked the best item girl to date if we have to say.

After his re-entry into films, though Chiranjeevi got top sirens like Kajal Aggarwal, Nayantara, Tamanna and Shruti Haasan to romance him, he never picked a popular heroine to do this item song with him. In Khaidi No 150 we have Lakshmi Rai dancing alongside Chiranjeevi for the special song “Rathhalu Rathhalu”. In Sye Raa there is no item number, but for Acharya, Megastar chose Regina Cassandra as the item girl. She was never popular for dances and hence she didn’t suit or click in that song.

Then came Godfather, where Bollywood actress Warina Hussain joined to do the item number where Megastar didn’t dance on the floor with her. She too was a poor choice if we must say as she got neither fame nor some crazy dance moves. And the latest reports are indicating that Megastar made no such mistake now as he got Miss India girl Urvashi Rautela for “Waltair Veerayya”. She’s a big star and a terrific dancer compared to all other starlets who have done item numbers in Megastar’s films in recent times.

As they have to wrap the film at a rapid pace, recently Bobby Kolli has shot this item number of Chiranjeevi and Urvashi without creating much hype about it. “Waltair Veerayya” is set for January 2023 release.
