Anjali Menon is one of the promising filmmakers hailing from Malayalam cinema. With her unique & universal projects, she is often considered among the change agents in mainstream Indian cinema, who can make films work with both audience and the critics.
After four years, she came up with a web film titled ‘Wonder Women’, which has a huge cast of renowned actresses across the south cinema. The trailer of the film was aired today and it has received immediate attention & reach, quoting it to be the fresh & original film in a long time.
It showcases Nadiya as the head of ‘Sumana’, an institution which trains pregnant women about delivery, caring for the infant and being a mother. It has Nitya as Nora – the owner of an art cafe, Parvathy plays Mini – a single mother, Padmapriya will be seen as Veni – a middle-class conservative woman, Sayanora Philip – An unmarried urban woman, Archana Padmini – is a working-class woman and Amrutha Subhash as a senior age pregnant
The film shall premiere at SonyLIV on November 18, 2022.
