Today, any hero who scores two back to back Blockbusters is being called as a superstar by everyone. Back in the day these kinds of superlatives were used only when People’s approval is there. And that’s how Krishna become a superstar. Here goes the story.

After Krishna rose to fame with the kind of films he has done, a popular Telugu and Tamil news magazine in Madras conducted a poll. As there were no social media then all the people who want to vote should send their ballot through post.

The poll is called superstar of the year and for five years in a row Krishna topped the poll. Ever since that happen producers and directors started addressing Krishna as ‘Superstar’. He himself made this revelation during an interview couple of years ago.

Back then every big star has attained certain superlatives before their names after people started calling them that way for the kind of films they have delivered. And Krishna truly deserves to be called a “Superstar” because he is also a producers’ hero as he has done many films for free when a producer of his previous film lost money on the project.
