While films like Kantara are still sounding better at the box office even after making nearly ₹40 crores from the Telugu box office alone, we have seen Samantha’s Yashodha which jumped into the race two weeks ago has clocked nearly ₹28 crores gross including all the territories. Amidst this box office bonanza, two small films have released last week, but still, they made their mark felt.
The first one is Jabardasth fame comedian Sudigali Sudheer’s Gaalodu movie, which happens to be a routine commercial film with run-of-the-mill emotions and scenes, but still, the comedian fetched nearly ₹1.5 crores share from the first weekend of its release.
Similarly, we have this horror film titled “Masoodha” which has Sangeetha playing the lead, while Tiruveer and Kavya are the other leads, which stunned the audience with visuals. Though the second half turned out to be routine, the film is doing well as it posted more than ₹1 crore share from the first weekend in Telugu states.
These films are neither promoted well nor made any heads turn before their release but then the word of mouth and the terrific placement support given by supporters is helping them big time. For films of that range, surely this is a stupendous success we have to say.
