Baahubali Saved Crores Of Rupees For KGF

Baahubali and KGF

When it comes to having full control of the production expenditure of his movies, ace producer Dil Raju is known for that strong stance as he always puts conditions on directors and heroes about the way they should shoot films and how they should spend. And other day he made an interesting comment on how the makers of KGF learned a lot from Baahubali.

During an interview, Dil Raju revealed that when the film Baahubali 1 was released, it got negative talk first, then slowly it picked up. He added that both the parts of the movie, 1 &2, are made with ₹600 crores budget, but the profits came only because of the huge success of the second part. “The makers of KGF learned from this very well, and for them, even the KGF1 itself is a money spinner because they made it on a compact budget. And KGF 2 did superb magic that minted them hefty profits. Everyone has to learn like KGF producers, who have understood how time and money affected Baahubali 1 making”, the producer commented.

At the same time, talking about the hefty success of Kantara, Raju felt that it is a rare thing. “Kantara is an unexpected ball and it happens very rarely. They made it under ₹25 crores, but the result is huge, and we cannot expect that to happen all the time”, said Raju, adding that even he too had such balls coming his way with movies like Bommarillu, Fidaa and Satamanam Bhavathi, whose success range is beyond the thinkable.
