An interesting talk is doing rounds right now in Film Nagar regarding the next film of legendary director SS Rajamouli which has Superstar Mahesh playing the leading role. The film is likely to be produced by veteran producer KL Narayana, but then, it looks like many stakeholders are coming aboard now.
Keeping Rajamouli’s craze in mind and the requirements he has in terms of the visual effects he wants to deliver, a leading Hollywood based production company that has a big presence in India through their OTT and VFX setups, is said to have shown massive interest to join this film as a producer. And then, Rajamouli is also said to be taking his remuneration through a share basis by making his own production house as a partner. All this is fine until Mahesh Babu has put up his proposal, they say.
In recent times, Mahesh is said to be taking only 50% of the remuneration as advance and the rest he’s taking it as a share in project sales by making his ‘G Mahesh Babu Entertainment’ a partner in the production. But with this giant Hollywood studio backing the film, now Rajamouli will get the share and the local producer will take a part, but not the hero. At this juncture, many are wondering if Mahesh Babu will get to share the profits and whether will Rajamouli makes it happen or not.
On the other hand, previously there was buzz that the likes of Prabhas, Ram Charan and Jr NTR got only a small salary for their work on Baahubali and RRR respectively, but never got a share in profits.
