IMDB 2022: 9 In The Top 10 Are South Films

After publishing the most popular Indian actors, IMDb has come up with yet another couple of lists, which feature popular web series and Popular Indian movies of 2022. Needless to say, even in this list, South Cinema dominates.

Topping the list is ‘RRR’, of course, the film has gained two nominations at Golden Globe and has affirmed its way to the Oscars. ‘The Kashmir Files’ stands in the second place, followed by Yash’s ‘K.G.F. Chapter 2’ and Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’.

Surprisingly, Hanu Raghavapudi’s ‘Sita Ramam’ and Rakshit Shetty’s ‘777 Charlie’ made it to the list. Following the tremendous success of both films, the makers have tried their lunch in Hindi too, but only ‘Kantara’, which stood fifth, has made it successful in the Hindi belt too.

‘The Kashmir Files’ is the only Hindi film that made into top 10 list, ‘Rocketry’ by Madhavan is the pan indian film which made it to the list and stood in sixth place. It is also important to note that Madhavan is a South Indian. The list also featured Mani Sir’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan: 1’ and ‘Major’ in ninth and seventh place respectively.
