Already we have seen how the looks and bikinis of star heroine Deepika Padukone from “Besharam” song of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan sparked off a debate. While many got shocked to see the ultra-glamorous side of the star heroine, some are upset with the way she posed in bikinis. And now, this debate has gotten a political colour too.
Some right-wing activists already started saying that Deepika Padukone shouldn’t have slipped into the tiny orange (Saffron) colored two piece in the song. They are saying that wearing orange costumes and dancing that way is objectionable for Hindus.
And now, none other than Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra called the song objectionable for its visuals and costumes. He stated that if the color of costumes is not changed and some visuals removed, they are likely to stall the release of the film in the state.
“There are polluted minds behind the filming of the song. Even Deepika is a supporter of this Tukde Tukde Gang after she went to that JNU protests; Correct the visuals and the costumes, else permission for the film’s release will be a thinkable thing” the minister commented.
As we speak, Besharam is trending on YouTube with millions of views, while memes are being shared in bad taste about the song a lot. Pathaan features Shahrukh and Deepika in the lead and will be hitting cinemas on Jan 5th.
