Long back, we have already revealed multiple times that Samantha Ruth Prabhu is the last choice for “Rangasthalam” as Anupama Parameswaran was supposed to do the movie. At that time, various reports have come out regarding her exit, like how she has exited from DJ Tillu sequel suddenly. The actress maintained that the dates clash is the real issue for her missing the movie. , but other day director Sukumar himself confirmed about this.
At the pre-release event of “18 Pages” movies, in which Anupama Parameswaran is the heroine, Sukumar revealed that she was supposed to work with him for “Rangasthalam”. “When I’m auditioning her for the role, Anupama is always looking at her mother. I got doubt if she would do the film properly as she is looking at her mom. That’s why I haven’t signed her,” said Sukumar, revealing the truth.
Back then, there are insider rumours that Anupama didn’t do the movie because she was not ready to do a dazzling skin show for the role of Ramalaksmi, in which Samantha stunned anyway. Now that Anupama is trying to showcase her glamorous side, surely this reason for not doing Rangasthalam sounds silly.
But Sukumar stated that Anupama is a talented actress, a beautiful siren and also she could speak Telugu properly and hoped that he will work with her in the future. For a director who has delivered a pan India film like “Pushpa”, surely there is no need to request an actress to work with him. But that’s how humble Sukumar is, all the time.
